Naming Traditions
Hello guys, this is my second post and i want to talk about Naming Tradition. As the tittle said, naming tradition, do you know there is a lot of ways to give name for baby in this world? Each country has their own tradition for naming their children. Usually, children get their last name or surname from his father and the women who married change their surname to her husband surname. It happened to American and Japanese. But Korean is different, a couple who already married don't share the same surname. Why? Because, Korean give the family name to their children before the given name. For example, the husband name is Kim Young Jae, and the wife name is Lee Ha Na. Eventhough they are married, Ha Na's surname still Lee and don't change into Kim. But their children surname is Kim, from the husband surname. That's the Korean naming tradition. Beside Koreans, other Asians that have the same naming tradition as Korean is Chinese, Chambodians, Hmong, and Vietnamese. ...
